Help me find/build a bucket

i'm really keen on getting into bucket racin but so far have been unable to find anything available.

If you, or someone you know has a bucket they arent using or want to sell then please tell me.

As far as building my own... not sure if this is allowed but my idea was to get a decent sized pocket bike and then stick a bigger cc engine in it.

Apart from a bike the only thing have been recommeded is a set of leathers for racing. Other than that im in the dark as to what im gonna need to get started.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bucket Racing (F4 & F5 Miniature Road Racing & sidecars) is a great introduction to road racing. It is also a complete sport in itself. With a monthly race meeting in Auckland, monthly practise day, Points Series over the whole season, a hill climb event, a two-man endurance race (2hr) and a National GP Title. There is the opportunity to travel to other centers to race- Taumaranui, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Blenheim and even Invercargill.
Although directly ascended from Airfield Bucket racing, almost all events are currently run on Kart Tracks.
In Auckland we are also encouraging an open class for bucket and non-bucket bikes. This is loosely based on a 150cc capacity all-comers class idea, for example RG150 RGV150, FXR150, KR150 etc. to provide entry level experience or race opportunity for those people who are keen but don't have a F4 or F5 bike and like Lee Tisdall can commandeer his wife's FXR150 commuter for the weekend.
The Auckland MCC runs bucket meets at the Mt Wellington Kart Club on dates published in advance-this season we are also promoting Motard Racing with the "Computerforce Motard Sprint Series". This produces a high level of excitement and noise, a great atmosphere and brings more spectators.
There are a large number of Bucket Race bikes in the Auckland District-many of them are not being raced often, if at all. If you have a bucket that you are not racing please pass it on. If you know who has got one, buy it or tell someone else. Interest is good at the moment with the new season about to start and bikes should be easy to sell. The bucket technical requirements are covered in the MNZ Rule book plus we have some basic supplementary regulations to protect the track surface in the event of crashing.
If you think you might be keen enough to have a go, give me a call and talk about it or come to a meeting and bring your bike and/or riding gear. Try out rides can be arranged. Racing licences are required for competition but you can try out for two meetings and on practise day without one.
Bucket racing is low key but very competitive on the track and co-operative in the paddock. Most people will help where they can and competitors help run the meeting. So, if you've been thinking about racing for ages but can't see how to do it, this is available and fun, not without it's frustrations of course, but with a great group from experienced hardened 40-something champions to 13-18 year old champions going faster and smoother all the time and all the rest of us who wobble round at various rates of forward motion.

Meant to highlight this bit.

This makes getting a bike a whole lot easier, lookout for a pranged RG or FXR

But I filled it with degreaser to wash the bike and she took it off me.

R/Raff and I have had lengthy discussions as to what will happen to me if I try the same stunt with her wine glasses/measuring jugs/buckets.
