    Been through this

Neighbours didnt like us riding called the council they were told they cant act on it,this was before even contacting me
Then they came over and told me to stop it as they moved to the country for the quiet i told them i moved here to ride my bikes hahahahaha......But i did tell them if they ever wanted me to stop come over and ask and i will no probs,They said they shouldnt have to so dead end after some heated debating they said how about if we want you to stop we will let you know..........Go fiquire
Long story short they didnt have a leg to stand on even with the noise controll as we dont ride at night and i spoke to the noise controll and they told me not to worry about anything
They moved out in the end hahahahaha new neighbour is mint its almost a comp now who can make the most noise as he owns a top fuel drag car of course this is all done at respectible hours

TELL YOUR PARENTS TO TELL THEM TO FUCK OFF if they want to
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses

One idea i have is have say your brother riding on the noisier of the two bikes and go up the road and measure what the actual sound output is. It maybe good to actually see what the noise level is for yourself. Don't be onesided though, there obviously not bikers.
They are plonkers for sure if they haven't introduced themselves nicely and complained instead of asking nicely about the noise.
    Good luck

Sell both of the bikes, and put the money towards knitting needles and sewing patterns.

We had the same problem at my old flat. We built a lil track and were surrounded by horse people like cambridge in one street lol. It got quite heated and now can only ride their every so often
Its always a good ride when you come home in one piece.

We have non motorbike neighbours and we respect their right to a bit of piece and quiet so we only ride for a limited time with good breaks and try to keep it in frequent and not while they are eating or entertaining friends etc. Just like you guys.

They have no right to tell you to stop just like you can't dictate to them when and if they can mow their lawns or use a chainsaw.
We also have horses and they learn to get out of the road pretty qiuckly.

Play their game, enjoy the attention and give them a friendly wave

So i am thinking that we contact the council tomorrow to find out any noise regulation in our area and then next time we ride one of us can go up and have a listen, if it is pretty loud then i may have a chat with them about it, but its there fault for moving there as they are surrounded by 4 motocross tracks, haha. apparently when my parents were talking to them the neighbours only had one solution and that was for us to stop riding so if i talk to them again and they can't be reasonable then i will have to tell them to Fuck Off.

There is a big difference, between a track, and riding around in your own back yard.
so long as your considerate, not blatting around at 10 oclock at night, I can't see a problem.
Tell them to go get F**ked.

Go to Bunnings or Mitre 10, buy a box of 89c earplugs and gift them to the neighbours then enjoy the riding, in a respectful way of course.......

The neighbours arn't even ones on our boundry they would live at least 500 meters away.

I am just wondering what i should do to resolve this with them and also what rights i have in reguards to it all with noise control.

Forget about your rights and learn to get on with your neighbours

Pissing neighbopurs off and going to war with them usually ends up in a stalemate where both parties lose and get pissed off

Talk to your neighbours and find out exactly what their problem is and sort out a workable compromise where you get to enjoy yourself and they don't get agrievated

I'd say their quiet country lifestyle isn't what they expected it to be.

I'd say consider their feelings, but unless you really feel like you are pushing the boundaries of taste and decency, then I reckon they need to get over themselves.

Particularly if 500 metres is an accurate measure ffs! A small group of motorcycles could probably be closer to them legally on the road and make as much noise.
