    Unhappy Gary Moore, RIP

Former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore has died age 58, the BBC reports.
Adam Parsons, who manages Thin Lizzy, told the BBC that Mr Moore had died in the early hours of Sunday morning (local time).
The Belfast-born guitarist was drafted into Thin Lizzy by singer/bassist Phil Lynott to replace the departing Eric Bell. Moore also worked with Lynott on the singer's solo projects.
Mr Bell told the BBC on Sunday he was "in shock" at Mr Moore's death.
"He was so robust, he wasn't a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy.
"He was a superb player and a dedicated musician."
Moore embarked on a successful solo career outside Thin Lizzy, with albums such as After The War (1989) and Still Got The Blues (1990) showcasing his fluid blues-rock playing

    Unhappy

Loved Thin Lizzy, a lot of Gary's solo music being the background to teenage years - but this became my alllll time favourite..

Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.

And doesn't appear too many many new guys coming along who will ever reach those same heights.
Stealing someone elses skills (aka sampling) seems to be quite acceptable now
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Holy shit, that's sad to hear.

Many hours of my school days learning his shit on guitar, happy memories. Out in the fields up there back with Phil Lynott playing on hard now! Thanks Gary.

Damn. One of my favourite guitarists growing up. Big fan of his 'Victims of the Future' to 'Wild Frontier' era. Stopped listening to him once he went all bluesy.

He never got the respect he deserved, might've been different if he had the looks of Jon Bon Jovi instead of a pock faced bogan. I'm sure him and Phil Lynott will be jamming hard somewhere...
