Cafe'd GN250, real head turner! Needs to go

*edit* i've removed the auction, after a tune it goes like stink and i had second thoughts.

hey guys, just trying to get as much attention to this as possible cos i really need the money more than the bike sadly.

current WOF and rego till end of april, needs fork seal done on left, plus a couple other things. newish tires, got a chain and new sprockets waiting to go on too.

helluva deal, help a fellow biker out!!

    Seriously cool bike bro.

Best of luck for the sale - if I win lotto so I can quit my job and just work on bikes for the rest of my life. Yours would be the first one on the list.

Its always a bitch, you either have time or money.......and that now lotto just means I would have the time.

ain't that the truth. but she's been a year in the making and i'm planning on heading overseas for a bit so need the money more than anything, i'd love to build bikes like that for a living too. maybe some cooler bases to work with, but its not a bad start..X-)

thanks, any chance you'd want to buy it?

please pass the word around if you don't mind, the only engine issue currently is the tappets which will be sorted by the end of the week, with a proper tune its gonna go pretty damn well. already stripped a load of weight off it.

I had a knocking noise in mine too, i had to get the rockers reground bout two or three times. Brian Kitney does the reginds fairly cheap ....... Well he did bout 15 years ago anyway

i've actually been talking to a couple of guys who between them have owned a bunch and apparently the noise isn't actually serious. ah well.

basically i'm in the red by about $400, thats what i need, but i'd also like to make a little back towards what i've spent on the bike. in total it was about $800. i do want to get a 125-250cc dual purpose though, i've got some nice wheels to make a motard.

it actually handles really well, i'm looking forward to getting the seals done on the forks cos its a bit squishy in the front, but its suprisingly nimble for a GN.

If you can, persevere with your GN, it's definitely a fair price considering what others are wanting, like the above 'streetfighter', wall of shame material?

    yup, that 'fighter' is horrid

i'd whack it on tard me and put the price up to $1600 to make it more desirable.

see what happens you might get offered 1100 bux

i've just cleaned the jets and put on new chain and sprockets, bolted down the seat and made a proper seat pad. fucking hell it goes now, can't believe it, for a GN250!! i've removed my auction. i'm keeping this for a while, maybe even ride it to the boxing day races in wanganui.

cheers for the kind words, and yes i fucking HATE that 'streetfighter', i'm on customfighters.com and used to have a gsxr750 slabside 'fighter and when i told that guy its not a streetfighter he got abusive. what a dick. ah well, i seriously doubt he'll sell it at that price!!

i'll keep you guys up to date with this thing, its turning out to be pretty fun for a 25bhp scooter...
