Well done. 20 years next April myself. Not many get to the quarter century these days.

Congratulations to you as well.

Hey, I didn't know that - you mean I've gone on for five extra years and didn't realise!!! hehehehehe
Now ya tell me! 33 years is pretty darned good, and I bet you're doing a lot better than getting the hang of it![]()
Thanks guys for all the wonderful posts and pm's. I'd never really thought about how long we'd been married - too busy living life! but sitting down and thinking about it, it's like wow, that really is quite a long time. I'm sure there are other couples here such as Mr and Mrs Edbear who are way ahead of us in wedded longevity, so we've still got a ways to go...!
And just to prove that some things do indeed run in the family, my wife and I have been together for 25 years as well (although only married for the last 11).
Congratulations.
We have been married for 53 years and are still in love.
You only get ten years for murder!!
Congratulations.
No one stays married that long without learning consideration and compromise, both abmirable qualities sadly not as abundent as they once were... Plus i think the secret to a long happy marriage is that you have to want to be married and want to be in love - lets face it, over the 25 years I'll bet you could have found 100 reasons to bust up (at the time - I bet they seem trivial now)
So anyway - well done. Vicki and I reached 30 years last nov and i still think every day how lucky I am to share a life with her. Without her warmth and human decency to moderate my overly enthusiastic outbursts I would not fit for human society... Well - perhaps she needs to try a 'bit' harder then....![]()
Congratulations. I know what you mean about only old people celebrating silver anniversaries. My sis had hers a couple of years ago (we celebrated the year before as I f'ed up and got it a year early). It freaked me out a bit as I didn't think it had been that long since our parents' silver anniversary (lost count now, think it's coming up 50, hmm, that may be year after next).
We've only been married 15 years next week, and are probably both surprised we've survived this long and not killed each other.
Now that is truely inspiring. It has also made my day. My gradparents celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary just before my poppa passed away a couple of year ago. I looked at them, and was in awe of the love that they had for eachother, and how they truely had spent a lifetime together, and made it.
Wow - I have so much to look forward to, and what an exciting adventure it's going to be along the way. You all rock!!
Yeah, sorry, but you should be into the hard yakka by now...Of course if you hadn't realised that and are still having fun, I guess no harm done in the long term, just make sure you set some hard yakka aside for future reference when you get tired of too much happiness and fun, eh..?
