It'll be interesting to see how lightly they get off. Since it's only cruelty to animals, they're going to get roughly 2 years at most. That women who kept all those dogs in here house under crap conditions only got 2 years, with chance of bail

Killing animals like this should get life in prison. Is killing a human any different to killing any other living creature? I think not

I'd say a lot of this can be avoided if we taught kids to hunt, shoot and kill at a young age. Teach them the reality of killing things, the horrors of injuring something instead of a clean kill, and install that respect for the animal.

... I think the shooters among us would understand, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Damned video games teaching people to shoot rape and run riot are warping and rotting the brains of our kids and they're growing up with a blood lust that is only satisfied with ever higher "shock value". They start off doing stuff on the TV, head to blowing up ducks, burning animals alive etc and have absolutely NO empathy for the animal.

I'd like to know if there is a way to help them understand what they're really doing - to get them inside the head of their victim. At the moment it's "just a laugh" exacted in some hedonistic fit of stupidity.

Now they're of an age where their expectations and morals are set, and undoing/changing them is going to be hard, very hard.

What to do? On one hand I say throw the book at the them, and at the same time I feel very very sorry for the poor pathetic little people they're turning out to be....

I hope so. I'm a fan of sentences that relate to the crime (i.e. you knick stuff off me, the court would rule I can go to your place and choose what I want in compensation.. to an equivalent value - I get paid back, and you feel violated... to see what it's like).

I think it was Judge Joe Brown that was a strong proponent of it - I loved it!

Problem is, what could you do to these little critters without dropping to their level?

Aerosol can of F2 glue + cigarette lighter, a squirt in their faces and on their hands and whoomph!! - A bit of utu for the cats plus these 'struggling to be good enough for a retard' types will have a reminder of their folly for the rest of their (hopefully short) lives.

MDU has it right, as a hunter I am made to feel like a *social paraiah (sp) and vilified for 'killing innocent animals' but few people give a fat rats arse about mind-fucking video games that are laced with murder/rape/theft/assautl etc.

*O.K., I really don't give a fat rats arse about what the anti-hunting types think, haven't met too many that don't eat meat or use leather etc,
