I don't need to say much about these guys, its all been said. But blaming video games? FFS, I know hundreds of people who play violent video games, watch violent movies etc, but none of these people would do anything like this. This sort of thinking can't be blamed on a TV in the corner of a room.

they live in huntly... i would have felt sorry for them before this but setting an animal on fire and letting it die painfully is just fukin retarded . "will it get hurt" - "nah bro it'll be sweet aye"

I have hunted and purposefully shot rabbits, and been the first to run up to it with a stone to make sure its dead if i had a bad shot - not to be brutal but to be as humane as possible.

On the other hand i once shot a shag/sheerwater (cant remember exactly what its called) with an air gun thinking it would kill it. Yes it was stupid and i know there was no reason here, but my punishment came in watching it limp off into the water with me being unable to help it.

Maybe the best way to sentence would be to subject them to disturbing videos of torture etc of animals, people and the sort. Secretly recording their reactions and making a decision based on how they respond to that... the more they laugh the longer they stay?

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I hear what you're saying and I think I agree...

To clarify - I'm not say video games cause violent behaviour alone. That's far too simplistic, but I am saying if you combine them with
    * The lack of a balancing viewpoint
    * A lack of responsibility for actions (i.e. punishment)
    * Boredom
    * Lack of self discipline

... you're going to get some interesting results, and to be blunt - I can't see how they could possibly be good.

I've always been against shooting games, especially the video games encouraging the death of others.

That being said, I'm the guy squeezing the trigger to put meat on the table, or take rabbits and possums off the land. I'm also the guy that'd be off to the gun shop to get the required gear to protect me and mine from invaders if required.

There are a number of good reasons to kill, but boredom ain't one of them. Anything filling that need (i.e. "I need something to do") with a gun pointed at people gets a big thumbs down from me.

GREAT choice of words... "My punishment..."

Exactly my point - thanks (I need to back off a bit now... I can get quite "chatty" about this topic...)

What would be more interesting is attaching slug guns to the cats and creating a mechanism that would connect to the cat’s tail and if they wiggle their tale then the gun would go off, or maybe flame throwers? Or something similar.

I used to hunt every 2 days, only for purpose - on the farms to get rid of possums - I liked rabbits but still had to shoot them, otherwise I would get in shit when one of the horses break their legs, I always made sure I took a clean shot - and promptly reloaded after a kill in case they were still moving.

The real problem is the government/society, why you ask we have all gone PC its fucken lame, "If you tell your child off that’s bad parenting", "You must understand their personality and accept them", "if you hit them your in shit" - what the hell is going on? I will hit my kids if they fuck around, I will teach them manners I wont be a lame modern age hippy, If I did something wrong I copped leather around the naked backside, I learned quick - and had trouble relating with people my ages due to them being unruly little shits, I eventually lost a lot of my discipline when my father died, but I respect the ways in which you have to bring up your child.

Sue me for being off topic, but that’s the problem with shits like this, "bro lets light some cats on fire" "Yea bro bad".

I get the same treatment at home. It's made me anti-social and paranoid but at least I haven't started smoking or become a homie

    Okay, where to start?

Killing any animal by lighting it on fire is just stupid. I'm not an animal lover but it's cruel and inhumane. I hope the little shits get what they deserve-warning shot or 9mm hemorage should do it.
Hunting for a purpose is fine but killing for the purpose of killing or getting a laugh is wrong.

This PC crap is a load of shit. This is an old post of mine in Rainbow Wizards thread "Political Incorrectness"...

    PC FREE ZONE AROUND ME

Political correctness is a load of craptola. I say and do what i feel like and no rich guy in his suit can tell me "no that's wrong" and give me a whack on the back of the hand. I have no respect for anyone who belives in political correctness and never will.

Killing animals like this should get life in prison. Is killing a human any different to killing any other living creature? I think not

    Hang the baskets

There is no cure for stupidity... In this case I think they shoud be made to work in the animal shelter for a year or to sat and sun Unpaid ,,,or a trip to the big house ,,,with Bubba

Bad Parenting , no just lazy .. I mean you start with a blank sheet , what ever you put it comes out 2 fold ,,,if you think TV is an easy pacifier fine ...crap in crap out ....
and as for this PC sh$%& only people who cant think.. or have insecure emotions perperuate this
Dont confuse this with basic human respect ,,, for example a comment made in joke may actually hurt someone ,,..( I made a comment about selling cheap goods back to the chinese ,,,as I said the last word I realised one of the group was chinese ...he said he didnt mind ,,but I could tell ,,,trouble is there is no rewind button ...)

Back to the point these idiots should be held VERY accountable as the mark of a society is how the weakest are treated ..( weakest must be defined here as a kitten )

WE as a society must come down F$%&'&' hard on those who exploit the weakest as we are judged by there standards ,,and I dont want to be judged in that light ....

Yup those 2 should be separated and work in an animal shelters to see and understand what they did ,,,

Of course violent video games don't modify behaviour. That's why the US military use them in training, not to dehumanise the target so that their troops will kill, but to entertain them.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.
