To the three sport bike riders racing on SH75 12.45pm today

Overtaking on a left hand bend directly into the path of oncoming traffic (me) is precisely what killed three bikers in 2008.

Ah you'll get shit for making a post like this, but who gives a fuck. It's a beautiful day today, but I'll leave the bike in the shed. Better to ride during the week when there's less idiots to share the road with.

Of course it doesn't. It's crashing that kills. Now take your books and pencils and go to the back of the class.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

And airline travellers, race car and motorcycle competitors, spaceship crews. But when it all comes to a stop, well then that is a different story. But then hitting a solid object at 100km/h will probably kill as well. I've looked everywhere, but I can't find at what speed you'll die. I've been nearly 300km/h on the ground before, and I'm still alive. I've been over 800km/h in the air, yup still breathing.

Also, there was no mention of speed by the OP.

Yep. Shit from morons I can take.

There's no shortage of people out there taking an adversarial approach to road use and / or treating public roads like their own private race track. If there's a time and a place, this wasn't it.

Those people in their cars or on their bikes have lives, jobs, families they're responsible for and people who care about them. The misery caused by selfish fuckwits such as those that prompted this posting is immeasurable.

Good drivers / riders are SAFE drivers / riders. Even if you have no respect for your own life, have some for others'.

Hey, they may not, but I certainly do give a shit.

In fact, I'm loving the fact that motorcyclists are starting to recognise (and speak out about) fuckwits on motorcycles.

For far too long responsible motorcyclists have remained silent in fear that they might be ostracised for speaking out about 'The Brotherhood'.

    The times they are a'changing.

Thread wasn't directed at you (as far as I know) so you needn't have opened it. If you didn't want it to take up space you needn't have replied to it. Whinger? Better here than a family member's graveside.

Pretty easy to sit at your keyboard taking a pop at a stranger. You heading out for a ride tomorrow? Ride safe.
