With my tired old reflexes and failing eye sight, 1.06 at Puke. She does 14,500rpm in top, so 285-295 kph with present gearing. Holds on to most 1000's there.
A younger/braver rider could do really well on this bike.

    Question

Why can't it go back on 'the road'? Issues with...?

All road bikes are supplied or given history according to the chassis no' when first registered.
This bikes frame was supplied brand new to a race team in New Zealand directly from Suzuki Japan.
Because of this it was never registered here and too much time has passed to do anything now.

If you have a road registered frame lying around spare you could swap all the bits over and put that on the road though.

Here is all the no's of the frame.
    GSX-R600 R1 , JS1B 212600 100003 (yes, that's frame no'3).

I believe it was supplied to a Mr A Stroud in 2004 to go racing.

Be my guest to dig up any more info on it if you wish to try and register it.
