    The cicadas are usually larger winged beasts that cling to branches and gnaw them to bits while making their rather loud noises. They do quite a bit of damage to smaller trees.

    Yeah, I live at KKK too and I wouldn't go back to the N shore for Quids.
    Can't stand bloody crickets coming under my garage door and into the house though.
    Drives me nuts with the little varmints churping while I try and watch tv.

    Same here. They get in everywhere! I don't know what is worse, the chirping or the sound of my Burmese cats torturing their captives. Beats the sound of traffic and suburban or city noise any day, although I do love the sound of bikes heading up SH16 in the distance.... mmmmm

    I am heading out for a ride today. Perfect day for it and the beauty of shift work!
