    R80 G/S 01/1982 for sale (needs repair)

    Hi,
I am contemplating about selling my R80 G/S.
Here's the photo of the bike:
    BMWR80GS_YB1982_needsRepair

The Final Drive (bearings), drive shaft (clutch bell & thrusting) and gear box Roller Bearing, grooved ball bearings) are damaged (Motomart in L.H. assessed it).

I've got the option to repair it (around 2.5k with after market and second hand parts incl. labour), or to put it on the market.

So the question to you guys: Who's keen to buy this bike? How much $$ would you pay?

    About the bike:
Black with R 100 G/S tank but bike is true 800cc, not 1000cc.
I bought it 1.5 yrs ago from Eddie (Wellington). Ran like a dream. Just had new tires fitted. New WOF. I only drive torque, no off-road.

    Cheers,
    T.

Maybe to put it into perspective I bought my rusty one that (apart from a few seals, cables & rear shock ) runs beautifully for $2400.00

My PD is still for sale, thought I had a buyer but that fell though in the weekend, he got made redundant after looking at the bike. Lots of aftermarket goodies on it including Ohlins shock, new WOF last week.

I'm pricing it fairly sharp now, a lot less than my advert here in bike mart says. If he's serious get in contact. It will be going back up on Trade Me probably tomorrow night.
