Awesome effort and all the best!

Got a good start and managed to stick in 2nd for most of the first lap but I had a couple of moments early on (front end slide into pothole at 120kph) and I lost a bit of confidence. I gradually was pushed back to 5th. Seeing Johnny Small on his Pro Twin crash in front of me on about lap 5 didn't help things and then was promoted to 4th when Neil Smith crashed in the same fashion at the same corner about 50m in front of me on the 7th lap.

Got a few ideas for tomorrow, fingers crossed for a little cooler track temp. 31 degree air temp and the track was a touch slippery. Focus on the NZGP and hopefully a top 3

His first race today was outstanding, including nearly throwing it away on the last lap, one of the best races I have ever watched

Yeah it was a pretty good weekend for me, I would have loved to be able to put it on the podium but I just couldn't quite match those three old bastards at the front! Glen Williams had an electrical problem in the first race today which elevated me to 3rd (only by 0.029s though) and then I held on to Terry for half the race but couldn't quite match his consistency. Ruapuna usually has been a difficult track for me but this weekend I seemed to work it out quite well. Roll on Hampton and Manfeild
