You have taken it to Katman, haven't you? He LOOOOVES old Suzukis...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Well got some pics of the boots the ones on the white background are the ones i got today.
whild i had the tank off I sprayed with start ya bastard 1 and 2 the revs went down while 3 and 4 didnt change so when i have time ill replace 1 and 2 and see what happens

Ok used some sealant and replaced the rings that tighten onto the carbs with better ones (dont know their names at the moment) all seems sealed up now still not running 100% but just before i realised there was a air leak I had the carbs balanced.
Would I need to get them re-balanced now that the leak is gone?

bump![]()
was also wondering if i should adjust the pilot screws?
any help much appreciated I would really like to go for a ride today![]()
ok played with the pilot screws and its a bit better now but i have another question about these bikes.
When I go for a ride it normally revs right round nice and smoothley then at about 15k it slows down then just over 16k it really takes off like I have a shit load more power any ideas on how to smooth this out?
took it in and got it checked out I was only running on 3 as a coil was playing up put another coil on and took it for a ride today and shes going good again still a bit of hesitation at lower revs ocasionaly so would still like try a differennt CDI on it but its running fine if I can try another CDI it will just let me and the my mechanic know not to look there anymore... and have to say guys if your in Taupo Steve from W.O.T Motorcycles has been great has had alot of time for me and is more than happy to have a chat...
I got another CDI the other day with no change so I now have a CDI for sale if anyone is need let me know.... Also sorted out the bogging it was a mix of 2 things 1st the idle air screws were 2 far open.... only 1.5 turns on the GSXR250 not the 2.5 you find posted on most posts.... (www.gsx-r250.com had it right) and I had a loose spark plug lead. Took the bike out the other day and wow she was running great.... I am of a mind of changing the rear sprocket when the chain gets changed mainly because at the moment you are not really using the top 2 gears unless cruising at 120. But bikes going great now thouh only 3 months till upgrade time so well I guess all my time and work gets to be passed onto someone else.... Oh well....
