Ever made the mistake of going into Google and looking something up - only to have something entirely different appear to you?

Example given to me the other day - be careful if searching for details on the movie "Snatch"...

"Bambi" won't get too many hits from Disney

You get the idea...

Have a laugh and this thread should be safe for work... but remember to consider those who get in trouble for stuff landing on their computer - anything dodgy needs to be flagged NSFW

In my first week at my last employer I did a search on "CDMA", a wireless access technology. At the top of the search result was something in German, I read German so I opened it up and got a full face of hardcore porn.

I've just attempted the same search but couldn't find the link. Then again my first attempt was some 8 or so years ago.

I just put the name of a co-worker into google, as a joke to her. However it turns out that there is a porn star who has the same or similar name as her, being at work this managed to set of all "Web Manager" alerts! Wonder how Im gonna explain this one! . . . .

'miserable failure' brings up a load of sites on George Bush, and 'Gates of hell' brings up things about Microsoft, including their home page from microsoft.com. Must have a web designer who works on a mac

Hmm, can just imagine saying that to my (female) boss. The funniest thing is the search also came up saying 10 times "acts of beasteality" . . . Of course now I feel obliged to give my co-worker ALOT of grief for atleast the rest of the day!

To be honest, I thought about putting her name in one of my replies, but she is a huge, scary women (which is what makes it even funnier). . . . but I may be willing to PM it to you, for a small fee of course. Unless you have web master like our department it may not be as funny. I could however do a "screen dump" of the web master warning and post that - minus the name though!
