    Mt Wellington buckets 12-13th Feb

    Hey all,

What a great days racing! some really close racing in both A Grade and B grade! It was nice to see some new faces on the bucket scene and cant wait to see you all up the front challenging for those top spots....

Quick question: Does anyone have are footage of the races? Bike cam?

PS. Dad took a few pics of the day and he will be uploading them for all to see soon =)

    Cheers,
    Connor

Hey, I forgot to wish you a happy birthday. I thought Henk had brought the cake and we were all singing to you at briefing, but I guess he ate it (or didn't buy it).

There was some good racing, but damn that was hot.

Anyone else suffering thru top gear? I do like some of their tacky gift ideas.

Good to see the strokers keeping the F4 boys honest.

I think the strokers got a couple of wins and a handfull of placings in A grade today.

The pub wouldn't have been a bad option today.
I've lost track of how much powerade and water I've drunk today and I still have a dehydration headache.
    Far too damn hot.

Hi all just flicked through the pics. Looks like Rick did very well with a win. Con grads. Gav looked to come second. He has a very fast FXR and can ride well in the wet that I have seen.
I can only guess it must have been hot temprature and hot racing. Well done boys (people).

It was a bloody hot day but good fun ..The win was brilliant but Gav ,Dave D and Nathaniel kept me away from the podium in the other races. The new bike is showing great potential I just need to learn how to ride it and iron out the little problems ..
1st time I braked hard the back wheel shot up ! Rs brakes are brilliant...

I rode Ned Kellys bike around nice and slow (first time around a track since June last year)

    forgot how good they braked
half way down the straight I eased off the gas and gently applied some pressure with 2 fingers to the brake lever.
next thing i know I'm looking at the tarmack and the back wheel is trying to come over my head

I only did the practice day but I enjoyed it a lot, great bunch or people.
Was getting the hang of " off the seat and feet on the pegs"
Going to look at the gearing...any tips?
I'd like to bin the GN 250 carb....I hate CV carbs ( former BMW airhead owner)....need a 28 mm Dellorto.
