I met the rural delivery man this morning. Driving towards me. On my side of the road. In a tight left-hand (for me) corner.
He looked surprised to see me.
Luckily, I wasn't surprised to see him. Everyone knows that one is a dweeble.![]()

This particular RD route is notorious for crazy driver behaviour. I go very gently through the bits of that road that I cannot see through - or over in the case of a couple of hills. Have met a few unexpected vehicimickles in there...(Scotsman's Valley Road, if anyone is interested...)

Not so bad... had an interesting near death experience on the outskirts of Stratford on Saturday night.
Just prior to tipping into a left hander, I notice lights, oncoming car, dipped my headlight. Very puzzled why I can see 4 headlights in the corner... this isn't right??
HE'S IN MY FUCKEN LANE. Yip... car overtaking the first, round a (for them) right hander. I think the first car braked, I pulled left (still on road... only other option was a ditch), on the brakes as hard as I could and thinking thin thoughts.
I think the car missing both of us with very little to spare... reckon he was within a metre of me...![]()
