1993 Suzuki Bandit 250 (GSF250)

Got a 1993 Suzuki GSF250

It does not start for some weird reason, had a hole repaired in the tank, from then it went like crap (would not idle, was really hard start, week later would not start at all) then was leaved out side for 2 years (under a bike cover)
Had new plugs, carbs stripped, s/h battery(one in was dead) just will not fire, it sometimes try but just wont fire up (flushed brakes, front rear, oil/filter been changed)

It will need revinning (rego was put on hold about 2 1/2 years ago), will need new chain/front brake line(screw together braided line), to be on the road once it gets going.

It is red frame with a getto black rattle can panels. It has after market bars

Pick up tauranga.

I have no idea what its worth, don't have time to get try and get it going. Pm me with a alright offer, and we can go from there.

Hey i have a gsxr250 which was hard to start when i got it (same engine) try using some start ya bastard that worked real good till i got the choke fixed on mine at the moment if i try to start without the choke it just wont, then wont start with the choke... once started with the choke once for the day all good with the rest of the day without choke + if I try to start without the choke 1st time i can use start ya bastard to sort it out... worth a try for about 15 bucks a can from super cheap or the likes... + on mine if the fuel was left for about 3 months it would start to run like shit no go after 10,000 rpm so maybe drain and refill the tank.... hope you find the time to give this a go could be well worth it

First off, drain tank and put some new fuel in there.

Second you mention having a hole in the tank repaired... How did the hole get there? Wonder if there's rust or some other sediment from your hole repair clogging up the fuel filter. With the tank drained whip the fuel cock off (2 bolts) and have a look. Clean with compressed air & fresh gas. Best to refit using new rubber seal.

Hole was repaired in tank due to leaking i am unsure since this was a friends bike, i have tried helping to get it going, with out much luck, and he just wants it gone.
The whole fuel system has been striped/cleaned and reinstalled. twice, with fresh fuel each time, fuel is getting to the carbs, just not firing.

try the start ya bastard works wonders you may find once going once take it for a good run you may be ok..... Would love to but at that price myself but I dont think the wife would ever let me have 2 bikes... good luck it will be an awesome buy for someone
