Claims are for the guys who say they could have gone well if....

i will prob contact ya glen if i head down that track... will have to work out where and how to shoe horn a motor into my frame without screwing with the geometry and weight dist ( frt/R and centre of gravity etc )

i will be aiming for something that doesn't require crank replacement each round.

Especially the UK site if you wanting zxr400 stuff. I have got a lot of random shit from ebay for ridiculously cheap prices. If you're only wanting something small like some crank parts etc then it will be even more feasible as I was buying radiators and big shit from there.

Also you could try 400greybike.com... heaps of cool honest dudes there ready to help out with all kinds of knowledge and access to parts.

    Good luck dude.
yeah mate i have used ebay allot - that may be a good plan

Well why continue to use an old frame? Why don't you cut your losses and go with something that is proven. Either an SV or 450 tripple surely has to be the least cost and most reliable solution?

Yep I hear you there mate, weren't you saying that you might be selling yours?

I am little restricted with my purchasing power.....what can you buy with nothing.. my bike does handle and stop incredibly well, with plenty of work been done by DR Rob on both ends and we shed over 10kgs off it to go to nationals..... I also hear that ERs are heavy and handle like Penny farthings.

i cant afford the outlay of a new bike.....but keep the ideas coming....i aint giving up!

Yep I am, if you want to talk let me know For an idea I have spent about 25k on it! I know however I will never get that for it!

I find it difficult to believe your bike with 80's technology is even as sorted as a SV chassis, let alone a 600 supersport chassis. Good luck with whatever you decide to do though!

Hot, would be wicked as F3 weapon...

If using ER donk, you'll need to try and shoe horn stock airbox in there too, could be a bit of a bummer/tricky space wise

nah there all good for club racing. Its when they become nigh on 80hp fire breathing valve eating monsters (i.e. full bowell's, nat's spec) they have the odd issue like every early 90's 400 when they gain 15-20 odd hp.
