The roads around Martinborough are dry and the sun is shining, but overcast. Cool air.
    Perfect conditions for speed

The East West access road used to be the sprint venue, but lacks facilities that Dalefield Road provides. Incidentally, Dalefield Road has extracted higher speeds than the E-W Access road ever did.

My first sprints on the new gixer .
Didnt get into top gear for the first run (lost count) and didnt think to try for it, but compared to my old 1100 blardy fast and the speedo stops at 299.
Run two was probably my best, came out of the sweeping left hander about 180ish and this time hit top gear, run 3 much the same.
On the 4th go, came out of the corner to find some fuckwit in a van in the middle of the road doing about 30ks, managed to get past him ok giving the customary you fuckwit gesture and powered on.
Dont know what speeds people were doing but Malcom said his gps recorded 342 or there abouts.
Thanks to all the helpers and organizers.

I arrived late and watched one run, then let Carla talk me into giving it a go . Pleased I did now. If I want to go faster I need to lose about 50 kilos or get a turbo. I really enjoyed giving the Busa full throttle all gears, what a rush. Thanks to all.
