    El Cheapo MD80 camera knockoffs

So trademe has a few of these chinese MD80 cameras so i thought i would check one out.

You need to purchase a micro SD card which costs anywhere from $20 - $80. The better the card the better the video. I got an average card so the video does jump and skip every now and then.

So i taped the camera to the front of my bike and did a test video.

Turned out pretty good! Youtube quality is a fair bit lower than what comes straight from the camera. I just compressed it so it didn't take forever to upload.

Will do more testing soon. Can be a bitch to mount. It comes with a rather weak magnetic base mount but so far taping it to the front of the bike seems best.

If anyone wants to buy the camera i will sell it (including the micro sd card) for $55! I should be done with it in a few weeks. Just need some video for my multimedia class

I'm a big fan of the MD80. Better than 808 as its a little wider angle. The vid from my sig was recorded with MD80 up front mounted on steering column and an 808 facing backwards. I pay $30 on tardme and about $15 for a 4gig micro sd card from your local cheap computer store.

I probably went a bit big and got an 8gig card.

How exactly did you mount yours? I would like that view its just rather difficult keeping the thing to sit still.

I see yours pauses quite a bit.

Broken already. Used it maybe 5 times. Took a couple of videos of my cycling in to class. They came out alright. The other day i tried to take a video on the motorbike but when i got home the video was all blurry and it stopped recording after 20 minutes. Now the thing wont record at all.

It is now a expensive USB stick
