Have an official day of reopening, celebrate the new beginning we've got a chance at, and march these fuckers right past everyone. And for those in the back who can't see, don't worry we'll have 105" plasma screens around so you too can identify those who took from you.
An afternoon in the stocks sounds like a good idea.

Yep, but bleeding heart liberals will claim they were displaced by the earthquake and society failed in providing for them then, so must act now by giving them support. Both our ideas would not make it past their first hearing.

......some of us are lucky enough to be that busy that we dont have time to think about it yet....dont know if i want to....but some of those who i have heard of are ripping people off and not just the thieves, ...had call or two from the city asking for help, because they cannot afford the 200 bucks up front that a tradesman wanted before he would unload his tools....i do hope there are very few of those types....but they will keep, the scummy fucks....

Don't worry too much - I'm an old fart and the shops that are there now aren't the ones that were there 20 years ago - and the buildings on the west side aren't the same now either.
That piece of Manchester St has always been iin a state of change
Bob Burns shop morphed into Tommy McCleary morphed into Casbolts etc....
Peter Knight senior I think developed some of that area. Not sure if the Knights are still landlords.

A MX bike would be good for that road.

I missed 'Nam - luck of the draw - but all I needed was hendrix on the stereo today...

Loud "thumps" in the near distance followed by shaking and the windows rattling... and a bloody squadron of choppers beetling round the neighbourhood.

The district has been invaded by geotechs from all over the world...and none of them prepared to lay money on when or if it will stop...

Update on Springfield pub - less damage than I was told - chimney down over the frontage

Probably with one hell of a lot of luck either that or shot out thru the damage on a slick of shit
Pretty impressive considering the big concrete prefab shed in front of it looks as if nothings happened, not sure if it's the same place that I heard mention of that had the fault line run directly through it....apparently there's a 4m open air hallway between the rooms

The next road over towards Burnham has a creater that ate the whole road and just up from the intersection by where you took those pics of Telegraph Rd around on Clintons Rd it was like an MX track with giant ripple strips for about 100m.
