    Hindsights an awesome thing!

The two race bikes are now chocked, other bikes in gear & on side stands...

There were 6 bikes in my garage Sept 4th,all on side stands, two side by side at back fell to the left,2 side by side in front of those had stacked firewood topple the XR650R onto the Ducati ,so the two of them fell against my car....the 6th bike(a friends bucket) was in front of the car & fell onto its bonnet. When I opened the garage at daybreak,it was heartbreaking....just had to close it again at that stage...

The garage, one FXR,Ducati & car were all a bit munted

Put the bike in gear;push it forward until it stops (clutch out);lower it onto it's sidestand.
Seen a bike skip forward and off it's stand in gear, the rear tyre can still 'slip' on smooth concrete.

EQC are calling the latest big aftershock a seperate event, so you lodge a claim to eqc now and it's for a new 'event' I believe

I see on TV3 news tonight that EQC are admitting that some of their assessors have not had their contracts renewed due to complaints about their manner....

The last pair we had here would be prime candidates for this - despite having the written report from the first team and being able to see changes in the building and land they still treated us as though we were trying to put one over on them.
And the builder of the team has left us with a huge problem by stating that in his opinion it's fixable for under 100K....two engineers,an architect, and three different builders all think he's dreaming... But until an EQC engineer gets around to us we sit on hold because of his opinion.

Showed our engineers report to Fletchers - they're trying to get EQC to agree it's above 100G because their experts looked at the report and didn't want to touch the job....

But reading about some of the problems coming to light with the insurance companies I'm not sure we'd be any better off in their hands...

I was down Manchester St today - that building that's been causing strife for the Pitlane/Street & Sport building is looking right fucked now. Chunks of building missing and lots of bricks down on the ground. Apparently their deadline has been extended to 31 Jan to get it sorted. Supposedly the Pitlane/Street & Sport building itself is still fine.

Yep - the Guzzi shop looks munted now. The issue there was the council and heritage wanted to save it. Too late now I'd say. Push it over and get the bike shops back in.

That's what they're hoping for, although a refit is planned for Street and Sport before they move back in

Interesting about the target number per day....6 per day may be achievable in the city but when they work their way out here ? No way Jose....

When in Invercargill recently I was told about an assessor who was finding it hard going in ChCh - after all he was usually a vehicle assessor and knew nothing about building....

Too many of them think homeowners have an agenda....too right we have, we want action....
