    hope all you guys are ok down in christchurch. reports of two buses being crushed by debris, half the cathedral building has collapsed and also most of the tvnz building is flat massive fire in CBD using helicopters to try and put it out

    news just in, another two aftershocks, no reports as to how big they were.

    My thoughts and hopes to all in Christchurch.
    And condolences to those who have lost either loved ones, or thier homes etc.

    I work for the govt dept that supports the NCMC and have been asked to work overnight shifts to support Civil Defence networks

    I can only imagine how hard it would be in Chch right now......

    Tragic. So relieved my kids are OK. Condolences to those who have lost family. The "experts" concede this was yet ANOTHER fault. For all their academic postulating they really don't have a clue. Once again the stupidity of centralizing emergency services in ChCh become obvious with Southland losing the 111 service.

    Makes you wonder if that was known all along?...the cynic in me says its possibly why not alot of rebuild has happened since last year.

    ...anyway, thoughts are with you guys in Christchurch, I have confirmation that daughter is ok.
    My eldest daughter is in Perth and wants to come home, I told her shes better off there.
