    Yeah, true that

    That was another two biggys... I tried to run to the blade to stop it from going over (it didn't) but it's actually quite hard to run fast when the floor is moving like that

    There's another! Three in 5 minutes!

    Quote of the day from a lady on the news;

    "Then my desk started shaking like usual"

    It's a worry when 5.5 magnitude earthquakes are 'usual'

    Fuckingbloddyhell that we a good one.

    Still have water and power here but was walking close to Godley house as a lot more of it fell in.

    Home is a bit of a mess, Chrow and I are fine, but well another day another earthquake.

    Yeah they are great entertainment at the time, standing on the yard watching cars parked 1m away from each other nearly touching, hearing the boom of a falling building/facade and watching the resultant dust cloud down Manchester St. But I tell you what isn't so entertaining, the fucking clean up after the big ones. House is a mess, the bikes stayed up and the bookcase and TV stand I bracketed to the wall stayed up, but pretty much everything else is over. No water supply, no surprise there as the local streets were pretty flooded on the way home. Quite over this to be honest.

    Seems to be the preferred line spoken by the locals..these events could keep occuring monthly for a year or more, who knows how long?
    Dont be to suprised if they dont start the rebuild until they know for sure that the quakes have ceased somewhat.
    Bastard times.

    Seems like it's time to pick up our shovels and wheelbarrows again. UC Student Army should be organising another clean up job aswell as Korean Society of Christchurch. Will keep an update on it. Let us know if any of you need some help with any clean up.

    If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

    Don't blame you. Hat's off to everyone down there for staying put.

    Speaking to a few customers recently I've heard first hand reports of insurance companies refusing to carry out refurbishment work due to possibly more aftershocks, and I don't blame them. And neither do the owners. Some of them have been told it could be up to 5yrs before they know whether they'll get permission to rebuild on their land.

    We're not going anywhere, both of us have good jobs here, my two daughters are here, along with other family and friends so we'll stay put. But otherwise there isn't much else holding me here.
