Was standing on the 7th floor of work looking out over the square when it hit.....I still can't get the image out of my head of the cathedral falling on all those poor people
....had to snap back to reality & grab my gear, get out of the building (really thought it was going to collapse) and then tried to get to my Partner and baby boy Ryder on the other side of town.....they were in a 100yr old house that was already badly damaged from the last quake.
so much damage and hurt people on the ride across town....but I had! to reach charlotte & ryder.
The house was still standing, and no Major injuries apart from charlottes big toe getting smashed up and lossing the nail, but I was sooo happy to see them ok
..first Aid kit on the bike deployed, hugs & Kisses....family safe.

My thoughts now go out to all effected and the unlucky.
If ANYONE needs help, I am available!
PM me and I will come and help in anyway possible.

    Take care everyone

    Willy

PS: who ever owns the little scooter that PhatGirl fell on...Im so sorry!...it wasnt a truck that did that damage...shes a PhatGirl and she went down hard!...again....poor little scooter was messed up after catching that!

Hubby's family all checked and safe; his parents were just leaving the city as it hit and they got jolted around in their car. Absolutely awful seeing the devastation on tv. Thoughts and prayer with the people of Canterbury.

My thoughts are with all those with Family and Friends down there. My thoughts especially go out to those who have lost someone close to them in the ChCh area, those that have someone in critical care. As a Nurse, my thoughts are also out there for those working hard to save lives and ease the pain. In the same breath, I am at once wishing I was there to help and yet in the same vein am glad that this didn't happen close to the Hospital I work in. The Hospital Staffs' work load down would be unbelievably heavy, and yet they will do their best. May they find rest and peace when it is done.

Thoughts going to all the Canterbury folks. Hit home with partner's family down that way. Luckily all accounted for.

Make sure your neighbours are OK & check up any old folks in your area.

Whoever that dopey bitch reporter on tv one was, somebody please throw a rock on her.
Her voice was enough to put fear into anyone. Thank fuck TV3 were there.

I was amazed at the stupidity of the reporters at the beehive press conference. Did tvnz leave their collective braincell at home this morning?

I wonder how far the money the Government has spent on new BMWs would have gone with regard to reconstruction?
