Good to hear you are OK Ryan. Emails at work were saying staff were OK at both buildings but no word on how those out to lunch had fared.
Thoughts are with those that are still unaccounted for.

felt it when i was working and all lights started to move but no wind outside ... hope everybody is ok
Cheers guys, scary stuff, I was right in town when it hit but escaped unharmed, saw some pretty disturbing scenes of injured people though. We have been so lucky with two major quakes, multiple significant aftershocks, and no fatalities, the epic force of this one in the middle of a working day has however changed our luck for the worst. Full credit to the rescue teams doing a fantastic job, hopefully more people will be rescued alive and well
Thanks for the text messages guys, I live Avonhead / Sockburn area and thankfully damage pretty minimal out our way, my thoughts are with the family and friends of the trapped people and those with damaged houses

Just taken chimney down. Dug hole out back for toilet. Have power and water still. Unfortunately no petrol for the bike and sounds like most garages empty Got a full tank of diesel in the Prado thankfully.
Anybody know where Crim lives? Maybe he is close enough to drop past?
Cheers R
