I'm planning leaving AKl at 7am Sat and heading down .. this will give me the afternoon and Sunday.

    So what do I need?

    Tent
    Beer

    Fuel
    Food

Throw in a few spares and some fresh undies and I should be all set...!

Any thing else?... Oh and yes ... the FXR will be all go.. minus paint.

Do I need to register? Where is it? etc

Those will be a good start.
No food on site but last year there was a BBQ and I'll probably thrown in a two burner white spirits cooker that can be communal for the weekend.
Last year some of us went into town for a feed which was quite succesful and I'd like to repeat with a lower level of debauchery.
Might pay to throw in a towel and some togs, some of the more switched on punters last year threw themselves in the river after Saturdays practice, something I'll be doing this year if the temperatures are comparable.

You've probably gathered by now that Michelle and I are going.

    Great

As long as I can finish my bike and it servives the Wt well weekend I will be there. Its at Custom chambers getting an exhaust at the moment and I still have quite a bit to do to finish it for Sunday... And Sat out due to boys 5th party.

I have a portable BBQ which is the dogs bolicks.. so i will bring that. Its a hooded webber Q series so that can be used by all.

Is the race track close to the camp ground? Only asking as the camp ground is close to the river. Good call on the river swim, swam in the river ay Christmas and its good.

Aaron, we don't care about the camp ground. None of us stay there (some stayed in a motel or something last year).

The track!!!!!! has the Whanganui river running behind it - get it wrong on the sweeper, head down the bank and you're in it. You can go for a dip in it if you want (without the bike is preferable). At the track is the track, the river, room to camp, showers, toilets. Down the road a bit is Taumaranui, where you can buy things if required (booze).

You don't need to book camping, it's just there. You wake up in the morning, crawl out of bed, get dressed, make a coffee, change into your leathers and go riding. What more do you want?

Sheessh, just watching chch - makes us seem so selfish planning a weekend away when so many lives are in utter confusion.

But looking forward to seeing the beast on the weekend.

he has popped out for a bit to pick up a delivery to down there, but he'll be back soon (with dinner).
I won't see him from Wednesday night next week until Friday, so I guess it could be an almost relevant comment towards him

But no, I meant this weekend - unfortunately I will see that beast before then (just Arron's beast finally having its unveiling hehehe) (smartass hahaha)
