I have only ever written my name, address and DOB on the census form. I then put a line through every question, sign it and send it back. No response ever.

I will not be part of a statistic for some overfed beauracratic bullshit

I like the bit where it says

It might be seen as prying, but the census is used to help determine how billions of dollars of government funding is spent in the community, in areas such as hospitals, schools, roads, public transport and recreational facilities.

shouldn't they have budgets to figure that out. Or is there some guy just spraying money around, oops, best see where that went, order a census, they don't cost much

    Yep.
And they asked the exact same thing last time.
And it's a dumb question anyway, as the motor registry already has that information.

This is surely proof of exactly that problem!

I also believe that this is the basis of public "perception" (their reality) and a major contributor to their subconsciously switching off and "not seeing us", we don't officially count and therefore should be disregarded! .... I.E. I didn't see him officer!

Fantasy? ... it is written in the census ... and it's written in our historic statistics!

Time to wake them up people and nobody else will do it but "US'!

fuckwits indeed. The household sheet excludes motorcycles as vehicles but the personal one includes them as a form of transport to work. Your guess as to which group of figures they look at when deciding on roading policies etc. As we don't count in census and a separate thread today the AA don't represent us its no wonder we get WRB with balance tipping rumble strips right next to them

Probably less than the penalty for doing what I do with every Census form I've ever touched which is screwing it up and popping it in the bin.

There's little evidence to suggest they've ever done anything of the sort.

Actually there is. However most changes have not occurred due to govt but private organizations.

But then again that is the same as everything else in this country.
So i would put what happens in census higher than actually voting for Beehive Idol

That must be why we're now approaching the levels of roading we should have had in the 70s.

And I don't register to vote either.

The census is postponed. Headline says canceled but article reads postponed and anyhow the govt wants its numbers.
