    used to belong to Thames aero club so did a few hours in the K13 there before moving on and up.
    Its one of the sports I meant to take up again.
    Did a local recently out of matamata.
    Pulled at 3000 and got some really nice thermals to about 4500
    Memorable because of the hawk I was circling with in the thermal.
    Coulda stayed up all day but I only had a 1.5 hour slot dag namb it.
    To see a life newly created.To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

    actually, the logistics and cost of operating a winch are not that great - there is also great danger associated with the use of a winch.
    A friend of mine died in USA on a tow winch launch after a break. Flight in any form is extremely safe, it's only when you stop flying that you can die.
