That would be a good idea since I fucked up today's chance at pie-eating by bringing a sandwich to work instead of buying a chicken and mushroom pie from Gold Star Bakery in Ham East...

Still tastes yummy. Got to work on the pasty a bit more, but still not bad for my first go at making one. Mmm Joa'N'Ap Pie.

what do you class as "real" pie? I would say yes, meat pie for dinner & fruit pie (not minced fruit) for desert what could be better for a feed?

Just saw on Brainic that there was once a law in Scotland that lower classes where not legally allowed to eat meat pies Googled it but can't confirm it. Be a lot of crims around here if that was still true.

Dairys, supermarkets, schools, gas stations, everywhere. Never as good as a Big Ben mince pie though.

Does anyone know how to make good meat pie pastry? I can't seem to find/make a good pastry, I do alright with desert pies but when it comes to meat I'm having to buy that over-priced pastry from the supermarket frozen section. So if anyone has a good recipe would you mind sharing so I (and maybee others here) can save some moneyz, and make our own.

Has anyone here sampled the wares at Pete's Pies since the shop was re-opened in Marton?
