Guy Martin to star in own BBC series

TT Star Guy Martin is to star in his own series on the BBC.

Martin, who joins up with the rest of his Relentless Suzuki team for his latest assault on the IoM, for the opening test of the year at Cartagena, features in a new show; The Boat That Guy Built.

Martin, 29, is followed by the cameras as he and best friend Mark Davis attempt to fit out a narrowboat, using only British innovations from the Industrial Revolution. Each half-hour episode will see the pair try to complete a mission using only homemade versions of historical gadgets and tools.

Heard a story about Guy Martin the other day.

Apparently in an interview he was telling the story of when he ran out of gas out in the middle of nowhere during practice for the IOM. The interviewer asked him what he did then. He said "Well, I didn't hear anyone coming so I just lay back in the paddock and had a wank".

I could listen to him all day,he's one of the funniest people I've come across, Jamie whitham comea a close second.
Now if those two did a show it would be a real winner.

Guessing it will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer - unless licencing or something gets in the way?

Something gets in the way. A lot of BBC stuff, including this, has a notice
    "Not available in your area".

    Ah well...
