    AAArrrgggh,
I've just bought a pair, sales pitch was that they were exceptional in the wet.
must be quite unimpressive to bailout so soon?

I had them put on my Daytona 675 from new, work really well. Also on the front of my VTR1000 also great safe feeling. Not sure why people would say exceptional in the wet as they are a more track biased tyre and therefore does sacrifice some wet weather grip. If I wasnt worried about the fact that I would need to store them and therefore not as "fresh" as I would want when it came time to fit them, would have made you an offer.

I think thay propbably work best on the smaller bikes (like the Daytona). My mate has them on his 2010 R1 and doesnt like how they feel but having said that they havent let go at track days, they can move around a bit but predictable.

    Good luck in the sale.

Are you a fair weather rider or do you ride through the winter?

The Pures are a great tyre and work well on my 675. I do a few Motott Track days hence why I put these tyres on. As with any tyre, there is always a trade off between dry weather grip, wear and wet weather performance.

From what I understand the more a tyre is "track" orienetated, the less wet weather performace you get. That doesnt mean the the Pures for example are not good in the wet, just perhaps not as competant as a sports/touring tyre.

Interestingly enough it looks like I will wear out my front tyre before my rear. I have 5000k now on the Pures with 4 (I think, could be 5) track days on them. Will be close enough to a one for one replacement anyway.

As I mentioned earlier my mate runs them on his R1. Although he intitially didnt quite like the feel of them moving under him a bit on the track, he has put this down to to low a tyre pressure resulting in them them overheating on the track. He has raised his track day pressures a couple of PSI and is now really happy with them.

    Cheers
