"Enginair Power Tire Pump"
Getting hard to find these for sale. This is a very practical, simple and inexpensive solution to re-inflating tyres on the road after a puncture repair.
How it works:
Remove spark plug from one cylinder and screw in the pump (this obviously won't work on single-cylinder bikes...)
Connect hose to tyre valve.
Run your engine, and it will use the non-firing cylinder as a compressor to pump CLEAN air from outside into your flat tyre using the pressure valve mechanism in the pump.
These things do NOT pump air/fuel from the cylinder into the tyre, which is a common misconception.
This one has a built in dial pressure gauge.
"Universal Pumping Kit" fits most spark plugs (fits 2 sizes using an adapter to fit the smaller size)
Nice long hose. This was designed for big American cars. Might be worth shortening the hose if you're tight for space on your bike.
Tested it using my ST2 a couple of years ago and it worked pretty well. Just as fast as one of those electric compressors, and if you're in a hurry you can always increase the engine revs a bit...
Will post nationwide for $7.50
