Lol, I remember in high school (late 80's) that they were still teaching typing to girls only, as they were expected to go into secretarial work.

I'd like to buy two houses. A morning house, and an afternoon house. On a hill. With a school in between. Then I could make my children walk up hill to get to school, then uphill to get home. I'd then pick them up on the way home from work from the afternoon home and take them back to the morning home.

You notice the players in your favourite team were all born when you were at high school. Tends to be the same time the flickering candle of hope that you'll one day be an All Black is finally extinguished.

Whenyou're old you don't have to drink - just stand up quickly to get the same effect

WRT to TV - my parents were late holdouts so our TV fix was going to the "television lounge" provided by the local department store, 6pm till 9pm on a friday night. "Sea Hunt" with Lloyd Bridges was one I recall seeing.
When the Pye 26" finally arrived at our house I was able to converse knowlegeably with my peers at school about such gems as "The Munsters" and "Rin Tin Tin".
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

We never had TV when I was growing up. It became a real treat as I reached my teens. Black and white. A couple of shows I remember watching. Coronation Street and *MASH on a Friday night.

being gay was just being happy.

there were only 4 channel buttons on the tv - and 2 of them were just snow.

it was a real treat to watch the goodnight kiwi

    video machines were top loading.

Casey Kasem's American Top 40 was on Tuesday night - waiting with tape deck in front of the radio to record the songs I liked to play in dad's Mk3 Zephyr

Close to Home was on. And Radio With Pictures with Karyn Hay was really weird

    More likely to be D. 1 long and 2 shorts; S was 3 shorts; M 2 longs.

These were the 3 most used.

1 short and 2 long was W. There would have been an awful lot of parties on the line.

You know you're getting old when the floor keeps getting farther away when you want to pick something up!

You were tuned into the Pirates on a transistor after lights out while it was sinking. Never forget that.

Attending free concerts in Albert Park in the city, taking advantage of passive smoke Oh and being left alone by the cops
