Underage Prostitution

Who else watched the documentary tonight.

Here's my take.

I've been around a bit and have known girls who have done this. I don't think the new legislation has caused an increase in underagers (there was no shortage of them before the law).

I do however think that the law isn't being utilized. I agree that the girls show be "helped" not prosecuted. Throwing them into the system does nothing other than insure they stay in the system.

The johns who are nowingly fucking these girls should be actively sort. That means sting operations with adult female officers posing as underage girls. Mentioning their age to the john should cover the "I didn't know she was XX" bs. Also the fact that the john is driving up and asking I can't see any debate about possible entrapment.

Just one other small thing. Anyone down here in Christchurch remember that Aussie tennis coach over here who got done for paying for it with an underager? Don't remember if it was before or after the legislation so unsure of whether the statement made during the documentary ("no one has been prosecuted for paying for underage prostitutes") is true or not.

Did laugh at the john/s calling the cops on the documentary crew when they were doing their "sting".

Can any of our local contstabulary comment as to why those paying for it aren't being actively gone after?

Um why should prostitution legal anyway?, even the US isnt that dumb (cept some states I beleave?).

I agree with John. The only reason some women even go into this is becouse they don't think they can do any better. Becouse of this agree that all the johns should be arrested rather than the girls. Right John?

No, not that kind.
The Media once again show what pussies they are.On this show they uncover what would have the media in any other country asking questions about police corruption and they completely ignore it.
Yes I'm talking about turning a blind eye to the crime of hiring underage girls.
They did look for dunks among the curb crawlers,though.
Must be more money in it.

Conviction for sex with underage hooker = 7 years at a cost of $57,000/year

Conviction for DUI = Income of at least $1000 for the Government.

What I found funny was when they were interviewing the cop and he said something to the effect of '...we like to pick the girls up and take them home.' Really? And then George Hawkins saying he has been told that the '...Police have their hand on it.' No wonder it isn't being solved. Guys, you'll go blind.

Sorry, must've been the mood I was in, or something I may or may not have smoked.

It shows the level of intelligence of the cops.They take a hooker home and then still play with themselves

LMAO!!! However, lets remember... not ALL coppers are bad...

I reckon they shouldn't of made prostitution legal... and the cops shouldn't just leave the "johns" to get away because of the costs...

They should actually start looking into how these young girls are living their lives and see why they are being pushed out into the street. I’m sick of seeing this shit, fucked up parents not looking after their bloody kids. More than likely beating them because they didn’t make enough money to feed their drug habit and the rest of the family because they are to “suppressed” to work.
