Far out, time flys. I met him in 2002 and spent some time with him at a race meeting - a very funny guy and great value. Happy to talk to anyone. Met Gardner a few years later. Complete contrast.

    Contrast?

Contrast? The word I would have used begins with A and ends with E!! And yes, I have met him too.

    RIP Bazza..

Whatever you think of him.............. he was a superstar who made motorcycle racing a household name. Might have used many opportunities to use his status to HIS advantage ........ but never forgot the racers and was a big noise in many safety aspects that are still helping today.
    RIP A LEGEND

Yeah I know exactly what he's achieved and done for motorcycling, I wasn't commenting on that. You don't have to be a decent person to ride a bike like only a handful of people in the world can. Just my opinion.
