1992 Suzuki Bandit GAF 400 (Needs a tinker)

Wen't to get a new rear tire on my daily driver to get my WOF and it decided to start playing up on me and I've been hungry for an upgrade.

I've owned it for 2 years and did a major overhaul when I first got it by the good guys at Boyle Kawasaki in Wellington (so I've got all the bills). I've put new carbs on it from England that are off a newer model bandit, a brand new 250$ rear tire with 0kms, new rear disk and pads, CDI from Japan about a year ago and GSXR 750 coil packs. When I got from my mate for a song I brought it into Boyle and they cleaned and balanced the carbs, and adjusted the valves which was about 2000K ago, new air filter too. I also replaced the battery and took out the bottom foam in the battery holder and put a bigger one in. It failed it's WOF last week for a rear tire (which is now purchased and installed) and for a front disk which has a bit of play (Dual fronts unlike most bandits which are single). The rego is paid until early 2012 .

So what happened is after they installed the new tire it now starts and runs but clips out at about 4000rpm. I'm not sure whats up with that but I'm now hunting for an 01+ GSXR 600 like I had back in Canada which I loved to death.

Welcome to come have a look, the paint isn't gorgious although in the pic it looks super sweet, it is DARK green, not black. Basically my asking price is the tire, engine and carbs.

Open to swaps with cash your way for newer suzuki's. If anyone knows anyone selling a mid-milage 01+ GSXR600 let me know I've got cash sitting here while I hunt.

Why would the tire pressure cause the bike to clip out at 4000rpm? I mean the bike dies like as if you've hit the kill switch at 4000 rpm. The tire's are all good.

hahaha sorry I forgot your new around here.....its an old joke.

But on the serious note have you changed out the fuel? You could have a blockage which would give it enough gas below 4K

    Also why use GSXR750 coils?
