I'll probably be along for the ride too (Saturday's looking pretty wet).
I was told it is this sunday. Can someone confirm Father's day date?

Fathers day in NZ is September:

Fathers' Day falls on the first Sunday in September. The celebration of fathers was inspired by attending a Mothers' Day service in 1909 when Mrs John Bruce Dodd wondered why fathers' didn't have a day to pay tribute to them - hence Fathers' Day. In most parts of the Western world Fathers' Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June. The date in September, in Australia and New Zealand, is a result of work by the Australian Tie Manufacturers' Association in the 1930s (don't ask me what they had to do with it!).
