Postal worker loses hair in acid “helmet joke”

A Postal worker in Derry, Northern Ireland (UK) has suffered burns and lost hair, following a ‘practical joke’ gone wrong.

The worker discovered the loss of clumps of his hair, when he took off a motorcycle helmet he had taken from the staff locker room at Royal Mail’s delivery office.

It is believed that an acidic substance had been put in the helmet. Royal Mail has launched an internal investigation, after police agreed to drop their initial investigation.
