    2003 Aprilia RSV Tuono

This is my 2003 Aprilia Tuono generation 1. Based on the RSV it has the same engine and chassis, the only real differences are in the fact that it is naked and has high bars.

While the bike has done a few kms, it has been very well looked after. I am the third owner, with the bike being purchased by it's first owner new in 2003 who owned it for around 10,000 km. The second owner had it from around 10,000km to 73,000km. Both owners took very good care of the bike, always keeping it garaged, cleaned and well maintained. The bike has never been crashed or dropped. I have had people ask me if it's brand new before!

The bike has been de-restricted with a Power Commander, Remus exhaust and K&N high flow air filter. I have also changed the gearing by dropping two teeth on the front sprocket. The bike is very responsive now and takes off like an absolute rocket.

In the time I have owned the bike I have replaced:

    Spark plugs
    Coolant
    Brake fluid / clutch fluid
Chain and sprockets (high quality Regina chain)

As well as the above this week I am replacing the oil and filter with a hi-flo brand filter and Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil (which it has been fed it's entire life). I also have a brand new set of Metzeler Z6 Interacts which I will fit. Whoever buys this bike doesn't need to do anything to it. It's good to go, just put gas in the tank! The bike also has a pack rack fitted, and comes with the pack too. It will be sold with a current WOF and reg.

Would be interested in swaps for a Hilux, preferably an SR5 model. In the short time I have owned this bike I've had a hell of a lot of fun on it. It really is a do everything bike, be it sport riding, touring, commuting, and you can do it with a pillion too!

    Any questions please ask!

The bike survived the Christchurch earthquake and is now living at Ohope beach. I would be happy to ride the bike to its new owner to any main centre in the north island.

    Will consider all serious offers.

I would agree with everything Tom says since I own a similar beast with mods also
These bike rip and handle real well, punching well above their weight, on anything but a long straight you will have multi cylinder 1000s in fits trying to keep up (I was able to run my nose up in front of a 09 Blade after following it up the main straight at Hampton Downs and finally got by several corners later

And they are still real good on the road as the high bars and tractable motor make for great cruising

So potential buyers believe the man

    PS, did he mention wheelies
