    If it was when the FIRST competitor crosses the line then everyone else would be a DNF ?

    It was hard to tell from the you tube vid but did the crash happen over or before the line ?

    The red flag rule has to be no-fault or you would end up with countless arguments about who's fault it was.

    What if somebodies engine blows, the rider behind swerves, clips someone else, knocks them off but keeps going himself. Is it the fault of the rider that swerved or the rider who's engine blew (or his crew chief, or mechanic or.. ?)
