Are people's attitude to Police changing, for better or worse?

    Interesting "News" item ...

Spoilt parent or spoilt child ... ???

Would you consider asking the Police to do this ... ???

Perhaps it's not all about revenue gathering ...

Bloody hell if you child throws things out a car window you should be charged! Not pampered to .. you are an obvious danger to other road users!!

You have a twisted impression of what constitutes danger to other road users.

(And a twisted impression of the ability to instill sensible road usage into four year olds).

Aim your anger at those who should know better.

Oh ... ouch ... the kid wound then window down herself .. and threw the toy out ... hmmm ... WHAT ANGER ... its a basic fact .. the driver of the vehicle is at fault ... that is what i said ... anything flying out of a car at speed is a danger .. even if its a stuffed toy ... have it distract you there is an accident .. caused by the person who could not control their child.

How about motorcyclists who fail to stay on their side of the road.

Don't you think that constitutes a far greater danger?

Umm this thread is not about that ... DID YOU READ THE ARTICLE ... its about the police doing something nice ... they did something nice ... and I think they should have charged the parents .. I am allowed an opinion that differs to yours.

In regards to your off topic ... RIDERS ON THE WRONG SIDE ... that is another story .. you want an opinion START A THREAD of you own.

Good on em i say,the coppers involved probably enjoyed doing it and theres no doubt it would make a nice change from a typical night being a cop ie attending yet another domestic violence 111 call that like it or not they have to attend, sometimes on a forum such as this with all the anti cop crap you read you have to laugh"cops are this/cops are that blah blah blah"the posters off such shit should sit 12 hours in the 111 call center listening to the shit that gets called in,considering the fucked up society there trying to deal with they dont do to bad a job methinks.

The police have my complete respect, and most likely always will, but wtf?..
I recall when I was younger my father owned his own company and one night when I was helping him close up some guy came in and held him at knife point for the money in the Till, I was fortunate enough to be behind the 2 way mirror in his office so I quickly made a phone call to 111 who put me through to the police, who then told me to stop wasting police time and resources. I guess it could be argued that this was some time ago 8 years maybe a little more, but that was my experience and it just seemed hopeless that the people who are suppose to protect you refuse to help you, yet they waist their resources looking for a stuffed toy.
I wouldn't agree with it been bad parenting, or a case of a spoilt child, maybe a case of Mum needs to harden up a little.
Thats my 2 cents, feel free to rage away.

I read the article, and still have little respect or like for the boys in blue.

Even the police in Christchurch, with all the ruins and better things to do, seem to find tax wasting activities.

And of course there are reports of corruption through the ranks.
