Thank you. I am really cautious with that bike now as the warrant expires next month. People normally do that when it won't pass the next warrant

What are you on about. I havent bought a bike yet. Im cautious at buying it with the warrant about to run out as most people that sell vehicles like that do it because they have just discovered it wont pass o try and get rid of it as quickly possible.
you could always ask him to put a fresh warrant on the bike if it passes tell him you will pay for it.... if not your not interested
Yea.Thats what Ive done. Just waiting on a reply. If he isnt willing to get a new warrant then that sorta tells ya that it wont pass. cause throw a new warrant on and he can up the price by a couple of hundred. Plus it needs rego. Instead been in contact with a owner of 2004 250 thats been revinned and has brand new WOF and just needs plates. Just need to ring cop shop and see if I am allowed to take for a small test ride before handing money over cause technically its not allowed on the road.
Save some more money, get a bike you're going to be happy with and some decent gear at the same time.
You're shooting yourself in the foot trying to scrimp on everything. Bikes are usually cheap for a reason, and that reason often ends up costing you a lot somewhere down the line.
I only plan on having the bike for a short time. I dont have time to save for a while. I need the bike to get to my course by easter at the latest. I have no problem getting a bike that need a rego or needs a very small amount spent on it. But I dont want a bike that requires the cost of the bike being spent on it just to get it road legal.
A bike im looking at had listed a some light corrosion. I asked for pics and this was sent. The bike got a warrant 3 days ago so it should be good but I thought better to check. Is there anything in these photo's that screams no at you guys.
He reckon just need to polish the chrome often and it will be fine.

My GN250 had the same problem, never seemed to be anything other than a cosmetic issue.
Ok sweet. going to take a look tommoro so if it rides good then ill take it and sort out rego when i can.
So I Have purchased a bike. I got a 2006 GN250 in very good condition with almost 15,000km on it. Costs $2600. Still has 2 months rego and a brand new 1 year warrant as of today. Also got given some pants and boots. so now just need gloves and a jacket.
Yea. Although it has an decent quality aftermarket tyre. My step dad test rode it and said there was none on the jittering GN250's can have in the handle bars. He test rode it in the wet and said it handle extremely well.
