Tyre problems, but I have been given a loner

The problem is that the tyre I want (michelin road 3's 190/50/17).... won't be in NZ until mid April or there about's and my road 2 has certainly seen better days,so after seeing the mob at Keown Honda I have been given a loner Tyre a Bridgestone BT56R with bugger all use and lots of tread left on it,

I saw the PR3 in Motorad in Wellington yesterday. Having said that - not sure if it was a 190/50 (probably a 180/55) - but still - they have landed.

I wonder how they compare with the continuous compound int he conti road attack 2.

One thing I don't like about the PR2 is they do square off around the dual compound transition as they wear which makes the tip in sudden.

Haven't found that. Perhaps you are running yours a bit too soft?
Either that, or you just need to give them a work out on the 'takas...more often.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I was at Cycletreads today asking about the PR3, and one of the guys there has a 180 PR3 on his MT01 (yes 180, not 190). Only had it on for a week or so but reckoned it's the best tyre he's had on it. KBer Toto who works there said the same thing the 190's not being available here yet. And yeah, those are some blardy pricey bits of rubber. I'll start saving my pennies now.

Not a issue on mine, still nice and curved after 11,000kms.

Near the end of it's life and I've made up my mind to try the new Conti Road 2. It will be a interesting comparison.

PR3 pricing - if they are anywhere near that price they can get severely fucked with that fishfork. That is just stupid and frankly insulting to riders.

I'm still pissed at the thought of having to shell out close to $600 for a set.
