Yep. Got a kit last year but started also doing some extract brews (where you boil it up with the hops and stuff). Some quite nice results, and about $1-$2 for a 750ml.

I had a flatmate once who had a still for spirits. That's fun, it's like a drinkable chemistry experiment

Cheers mate,have a small garden shed down the back and am thinking of setting up a still down there.Got a mate who produces his own with great results,he puts it through (his words ive no idea what hes on about) the filter twice,whatever he means it tastes great and unlike many home brewed spirits ive tasted doesnt have the same orrible aftertaste.

Good call. I've got some coopers homebrew that I made over the hot part of summer that's begging to be consumed as I'm bottling a "Usarka's scottish ale" tomorrow and need the glass.
