    eek FXR150 fairings?

Hi all, This was around 6 months ago. Basically, I taught myself on the fxr150 with never hopping on a bike before (apart from the learners test which I used common sense on how to ride it) and I went straight onto the road. I know it wasn't the smartest thing to do. But anyway as you do, I was riding home, in la la land and saw a mate, gave him a wave, looked back onto the road and the car in front of me slammed on there breaks. As I was new too biking my reaction was to grab a fistful of the breaks, the breaks locked and I dropped the bike (about 1m away from the car)

Thankfully, I all I go was a lightly bruised knee as I was wearing decent gear.
The only damage to the bike was a scratched up (not cracked) right fairing and a 5cm chunk missing where the stock mirrors were (have bar end mirrors on)

Have been searching all over since for replacement fairing(s) with no avail, with a tm search with the only fairings I want being in the blue colour (mines green). Suzuki wanted $160 for a sticker of "FXR" let alone the fairing....

Am wanting to get my bike up to scratch again as I am heading over to Germany for a year in August and my sister has her eyes set on it. After learning to do the basic servicing myself that has given me a lot of motivation to get on with it.

Can anyone help out? Willing to pay a fair price, but can't pay with beers as some people seem to like haha.. (Am 17...)

Almost 5000km later haven't dropped the bike since and passed my restricted 100%

Post your request in the Bucket racing forum, heaps of guys take their fairings off and are not much use to them. You can paint them green
My neighbours diary says I have boundary issues

There are some parts links in here. As Yow ling said, go to the bucket section

Depending on how bad it is it may be repairable...

A soldering iron, good supply of ABS plastic, Tin of bog, sandpaper, paint and a bit of time and patience can work wonders if you are on a budget.

I wouldn't know how to do that, I can afford some decent second hand ones though I would think.

Depends if you find some cheap enough I guess.

You won't know how to do it but with a bit of study and planning anyone could do it, hell there are probably how-to vids on youtube.

Just thought if you are 17 you are probably wanting to get it fixed without spending a whole heap of cash on it.

Yeah cheers, I will keep that in mind and if I can't find any fairings I'll give that a crack. Although looking at previously sold fairings I am fairly certain that I should be able to well afford it, it's just trying to find the damn things!

Shame you aren't in Wellington Hawkes Bay or Auckland, they seem to be the hot beds of bucket racing at the moment and going to the track and asking around would be the trick..
I did have one lot of green fairings but they were pretty munted, most fairings off bucket conversions are. Only stuff I have now are off a blue bike and like the rest I've had pre crashed.
Which parts are you after? surely not the whole lot.

Im mainly after the right hand side fairing and the front fairing that goes around the headlight. Yeah, if I knew someone in wellington I'd happily go for a ride down to go pick it up.
