Meanwhile at the other end of the field, Karel Abraham is happy to have finished in the points

    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/220320...ce-points.html

That's 13th out of 13! What we used to call "last" in the old days.

To be fair to Karel, he would have got 13th out of 14 if Toni Elias hadn't crashed.

I am no fan od Abraham, feeling that he is a bit of a spoiled rich kid whose Daddy buys him motorbike rides.
    But fair do's to him.
He has shown good pace over the winter, he did not crash and he would not have finished last if the other riders had finished.
I am unsure what it says though about the category currently.
Clearly these bikes are more forgiving and easier to ride for new riders and the satellite bikes are not so far away from the factory bikes (witness Edwards' ride).
Back in the days of 500 2T bikes Abraham would have been lapped easily, but he was a long way off that.
    Good on him!

Daddy's not so rich now. How do you make a small fortune racing motorcycles? Start with a big fortune.)
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Actually when I read it I couldn't help thinking of our Katie and her broken leg and operation
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

"During the process the doctors suspected that a form of compartmental syndrome was developing, caused by bleeding inside the thigh, and decided to make an incision from the hip to the knee to relieve the muscle inflammation. This incision remained open, and an attempt to close it was made in a new procedure 48 hours later but without success."
