Got an email today, which will interest those following the GP. Note also they have rescheduled the GP till later in the year (2nd one in a row, thanks to volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis).

We would like to inform you that, following the tragic events that have hit Japan in recent days, the MotoGP community (organisation and teams) have organized the auction and sale of t-shirts signed by all MotoGP riders to collect funds for the victims.

A unique t-shirt with the message “We for Japan” and the original signatures of all MotoGP class riders will be auctioned (tbc where).

Moreover, we will organize for copies of the t-shirt to be sold through the following channels:
- Through the motogp.com website

- Together with the official merchandising in the vending area of all the MotoGP events from Jerez until Aragon, just before the rescheduled Grand Prix of Japan on October 2nd.

All the funds collected from the auction and sale of these t-shirts will be given to a Japanese charity organisation during the Grand Prix of Japan.

We also remind you that during the MotoGP starting grid procedure on Sunday (exact time tbc) we will hold a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of Japan, and we will also display a banner with the message logo “We for Japan”. Also stickers with this logo have been distributed, and many of the riders will display them on their bikes.
