Police and Emergency Services are at the scene of a serious accident involving 2 cars and a motorbike.



SH1 is blocked in both directions and the following diversions are in place.


Southbound traffic is being diverted at SH1 onto Centennial Park and northbound traffic diverted onto Wayby Valley Road south of Wellsford.


Anyone heard anything? Hope you all stay safe out there.

All I have heard here are a shit of sirens but I thought they headed out matakana way...the volly siren went off about an hour ago.
Reading that it could be around the passing lane/golf club area....

That is never a good sign.

And on that note a full road closure is usually done for fatals or getting close to it, unless of course the wreckage is just blocking all the lanes.

Two cars and one motorcycle collided around the golf club. 2 dead at the scene before emergency services arrived. 3 critically injured flown to Auckland City hospital, 1 taken by ambulance to North Shore hospital. Detours are in place. FFS! Take it easy out there folks, the weather up here is crappy.
