Help me find a movie

It's late at night and here I'm trying to find a movie that I can't remember. Please lend me your wisdom.

All I remember is:
*It's an action movie
*I saw it back in 1996-7
*It was quite similar to Lethal Weapon 4 (two action jacksons I think)
*The movie ends in a Colosseum at night (with a big explosion with a flying vending machine).
*There are land mines on the Colosseum arena.
*At this one scene, this black man (I think) steps on a mine, then he places a doll or somekind on the trigger to save himself.
*And on one scene there is this priest-ish guy who leads them down to a catacomb where the priest's brothers are buried.
*I think this bad guy kidnap's the main character's daughter or something.
*They fight with guns.

That's all I remember. Help me out here please?

Oh yeah Claude Van Damn movie, he was an assassin of some sort.
Sorry can't for the life of me remember the name of it???

Early on he had to escape from some island with lasers in the water as a deterrent to swimming to freedom.
